We are pleased to invite youth newcomers and refugees on Thursday, April 11th at 5pm EDT to our first webinar on United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: Collaborative Youth Action! Limited spots available.

Canadian Council for Refugees Youth Network, FCJ Refugee Centre Youth Network, The Mary Ward Centre, and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Toronto are inviting and mobilizing young newcomers and refugees across Canada to advocate for change using the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Canada’s commitment to leaving no one behind in achieving a  better future.

Youth participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Discover the SDGs that the Canadian government is reviewing in 2024, and how they connect to youth newcomers’ issues.

  • Collaborate with peers to develop advocacy strategies focused on Climate Action, Peace, Justice, Strong Institutions, and Partnerships for Goals.

  • Access exclusive resources and tools to elevate your voice and champion solutions.

  • Build connections with like-minded youth and prepare for our June webinar, where we’ll engage directly with government decision-makers and the United Nations!

We encourage registered participants to research the SDGs before attending the webinar on April 11th! This webinar will prioritize the participation of youth newcomers but is open to everyone, including Canadian-born youth, and youth allies. Please spread the word!
