The Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) of Canada’s mission is to mobilize Canadian post-secondary institutions to facilitate learning and accelerate problem solving for the UN’s Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals. To these ends, SDSN Canada will mobilize support throughout the country for the Sustainable Development Goals, promote practical Solutions Initiatives and long-term pathways for sustainable development, promote high-quality education and research collaboration, and support governments in understanding and addressing the challenges of sustainable development.

SDSN Canada is part of a global SDSN movement started by world-renowned economist Jeffrey Sachs to build a network of knowledge institutions that support action-oriented research to help address some of the world’s most pressing problems.

The University of Waterloo is the founding institution for SDSN Canada.
