ABS-CBN Canada ULC

Based in Toronto, Ontario, ABS-CBN Canada ULC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of ABS-CBN International.ABS-CBN Canada distributes Filipino television programming services across Canada. Its flagship product is The Filipino Channel (TFC), the premier and most widely viewed Filipino premium channel in the world. TFC has been an authorized non-Canadian service since 1997, and has been distributed by Canadian cable and direct-to-home broadcasting distribution undertakings (BDUs) since 2009.

TFC’s programming includes news, drama, movies, comedy, variety, magazine talk shows, travel and lifestyle programs. In addition to being distributed by Broadcast Distribution Undertakings (BDUs), TFC is also distributed via internet protocol television (IPTV) since 2007 and on the web (TFC.tv). TFC’s IPTV service features Movies on Demand and Pay-Per-View, a Karaoke Channel, and two of the Philippines’s top radio channels, DZMM Teleradyo and DWRR 101.9.

This July 2014, Bell Fibe TV of Bell Canada will start distributing Lifestyle Network and Cinema One Global, two other ABS-CBN International channels that are distributed via cable, satellite, IPTV and online in the U.S. With its pillars of home, fashion, travel, food and wellness, Lifestyle Network’s 24/7 English programming targets the more assimilated, and second to third generation Filipinos abroad. Cinema One Global is a treasury of Philippine cinema’s best, from award-winning classics to blockbuster hits to cutting-edge independent films.

ABS-CBN Canada also has a fast-growing remittance business known as myRemit, a TFC Kapamilya Service. It focuses on serving the remittance needs of our fellow Filipinos via agent network development, satisfactory service and trust in the TFC brand.

ABS-CBN Canada ULC also holds theatrical screenings for top Filipino movies and entertainment events all throughout Canada. ABS-CBN Canada has also been very active in on-ground engagement all year round. Aside from partnering with various Filipino organizations for community events, it also produces annually One Kapamilya Go in Canada, the biggest touring Filipino event in the country that showcases the world-class Filipino acts and performers and is supported by sponsors, vendors, and organizations for its whole-day family-oriented entertainment and celebration of Filipino talent, culture, food and businesses.
