Windsor Spitfires Foundation

Under the motto, “Enhancing Lives, Improving our Community”, the Windsor Spitfires Foundation has raised and donated $343,803 back to local charitable groups and community service agencies around Windsor & Essex Country since its inception in 2006. The foundation works closely with a wide range of groups and partners to identify need within our communities, fundraising through charitable events on a year-round basis.
On-going fundraising efforts and activities include celebrity autograph sessions with current and past Spitfire players, memorabilia auctions and kid’s street hockey games. The Windsor Spitfires Foundation has been committed to providing local charities with the kind of support that changes outlooks and lives, participating in local golf tournaments, concert performances, gala dinners, and the annual “Mickey’s Run” in memory of late captain Mickey Renaud. More than fifty local charities have been the recipient of funds raised by the Windsor Spitfires Foundation with the support of our local community. We are proud to have recently supported the 2017 MasterCard Memorial Cup Legacy Remembrance Garden now located at the WFCU Centre, home of the Windsor Spitfires.
