Tofino Parks and Recreation

The mission of the District of Tofino’s Recreation department is to provide quality leisure opportunities that meet the needs of community residents by offering cost effective, innovative and accessible services. We strive to provide programs, safe places and the facilities needed to bring the public together and get people outside, active and invested in our community. We are continually trying to honour and celebrate the diversity, creativity and camaraderie that make our town unique. Our main activities include: developing and maintaining facilities for public recreation, maintaining and restoring parks, public spaces and natural areas to ensure that they are accessible to all community members, providing dynamic recreation programs and services and developing and maintaining partnerships within the community we serve.
