Our organization has grown significantly since 1984, and today functions as the City’s only central food collection, warehouse, and distribution centre, providing 12 – 14 tons of food daily to a network of front-line member agencies. These agencies include large downtown shelters and meal programs, emergency grocery hamper programs, summer day camp lunches and after school snack programs, drop-in centres as well as shelters for women, men, and youth. Each month we help to feed nearly 50,000 individuals and families in need – 38% of whom were children.
