The Lethbridge & District Japanese Garden Society

We are a Non-Profit organisation that operates Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden. The Lethbridge & District Japanese Garden Society Mission is to provide an opportunity to experience the serenity and peace of our natural environment as expressed through Japanese Garden architecture and culture. We provide cultural, historical and horticultural experiences and education to our community and visitors from around the world. Our Japanese Garden is a 4 acre Canadian Garden done in a Japanese Style. It was a Canada Centennial Project to pay tribute to the Japanese contributions to Southern Alberta. In our Pavilion from Kyoto we host many programs and events to honour and celebrate traditional and modern Japanese practices such as tea ceremonies, ikebana, calligraphy, iadio sword demonstrations, pokemon go, karaoke, yukata dressing, origami, urban legends stories and much more.
