The GenWell Project is a global movement that is working to make the world a happier and healthier place by reminding people about the importance of face to face social connection and inspiring them to take action. Launched in 2016 in Toronto, Canada, the movement activates around two weekends a year when we want to be the catalyst that inspires people to reach out and get connected with family, friends, neighbours or colleagues. We share information, research and motivation each day of the year through our social channels and website in an effort to inspire people to build healthy connections habits today, but continue to return with our GenWell Weekends to act as a catalyst, a reminder or an excuse for people to reach out to the long list of people we have been meaning to see. Our long term vision is to integrate these two weekends into the calendar of countries around the world (starting right here in Canada) so that individuals, families, businesses and communities understand the importance of human connection to creating a healthy and sustainable society for everyone.
