Temagami First Nation

The community of Temagami First Nation is located on Bear Island, Lake Temagami. The People are the Teme-augama Anishinbai. In the past few years the community has worked on initiatives to revitalize material culture, in particular the canoe culture of the area by revitalizing the traditional knowledge of birch bark canoe building and to pass that on to the next generation.
