Simon Fraser University, Campus as a Living Lab program

Simon Fraser University’s strategic vision prioritizes moving to social, economic and ecological sustainability in its programs and operations. With over 40,000 people working and learning across three SFU campuses, there is a tremendous opportunity to synergize research and learning efforts in helping solve sustainability challenges, and moving forward on SDG targets. At SFU’s Campus as a Living Lab, we seek to provide a framework to facilitate collaborative, community-based research to identify sustainability challenges, and enable innovative solutions which are tested for viability so they are read to mobilize into action for positive change, both on campus and in local communities.
