The Saskatoon Council on Aging (SCOA) is a community-based, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting positive aging for all in an age-friendly community. We strive to achieve our mission by providing programs, services and policy advocacy to promote dignity, health and independence of older adults.
SCOA has a number of initiatives including:
• A Positive Aging Resource Walk-in Centre designed to support and enable older people to access education and other services that enhance their quality of life;
• A Caregiver Information Service, the only one in the province, which provides education and support to caregivers and others who are looking for related information or services;
• Education, activity programs and services for older adults; and
• Education and Awareness to ensure seniors’ perspectives are reflected in governmental programs and policies that relate to older adults.
