The LeNoir Forge was built about 1793 by Thomas LeNoir. It was an important enterprise, making materials for the shipbuilding and repair. In 1967 this stone building was restored and became a museum. The LeNoir Forge Museum houses a working forge operated by volunteers, a collection of tools and artifacts that tell some of the stories of the people of Isle Madame. The LeNoir Landing site also contains a genealogy centre, a community archives, and other building used to display artifacts pertaining to our islands past. Many community events are held on site.
