Infinithéâtre

Infinithéâtre’s mandate is to seek out, develop, showcase and broker original plays by Québec playwrights and, since 2016, also the work of Indigenous writers from across Canada. Infinithéâtre has earned a unique reputation as the premiere English-language theatre company for original Québec works. We produce a 3-play season, the Write-On-Q! playwriting competition, the The Pipeline reading series and, recently, the Playwrights’ Unit. Since 1998, Infinithéâtre has given more than 50 world premieres exclusively to Québec writers. During this same time, Infinithéâtre has also staged public readings for more than 60 original plays from Québec. Our productions have been seen throughout Montréal, in Morin-Heights, Hudson and Wakefield, Quebec; Ottawa, Toronto and Stratford, Ontario; Edinburgh, Scotland, Cairo, Egypt; Tokyo, Japan and twice Off Broadway in New York.
