Building Community

Building Community – Solidarité communautaire is the educational committee of the Milton Parc Citizens’ Committee (CCMP-MPCC) a half-century old organisation. It was responsible for the citizens’ movement to found the Milton Parc non-profit housing cooperative project which is the biggest of its kind in Canada with 1500 highly diverse residents living in community controlled cooperative housing. Building Community aims to organise a series of co-curated community building events that will raise awareness of citizenship, sustainable living, indigenous awareness and social inclusion in the spirit of the 150th anniversary of the confederation of Canada.

Le Jour de la Terre: Accompagner les personnes et les organisations à diminuer leur impact sur l’environnement. Le Jour de la Terre fut célébré pour la première fois le 22 avril 1970. Aujourd’hui, plus d’un milliard de personnes dans 193 pays passent à l’action chaque année dans le cadre du Jour de la Terre. Au fil des ans, le Jour de la Terre est devenu le mouvement participatif en environnement le plus important de la planète.
