At Big Brothers Big Sisters we believe children should have the opportunity to reach their full potential, both as individuals and citizens and that by so doing, they will not only do well, they will also do good. Our mission is to “positively affect our community by providing mentoring programs for children and youth.”
We support relationships between caring members of the community and vulnerable children and in doing so are changing the course of young lives and the course of a community’s future. We provide one-to-one and group programs for children and youth both in school and in the community.
Through mentoring and supportive caring relationships we are fostering change on a broader, more far-reaching scale. This can lead to reduced poverty and unemployment, safer schools and neighborhoods, and a renewed optimism for the future.
