Winnipeg International Storytelling Festival

Now in its 12th year, the Winnipeg International Storytelling Festival includes a School Program and Public Program that includes French storytelling, Indigenous storytelling, Deaf storytelling, human rights storytelling, storytelling workshops, and puppetry. The Festival’s goals are to (1) nurture the art of storytelling in Winnipeg, (2) explore and promote storytelling for peacemaking, and (3) develop youth voice as a critical skill for democracy, global citizenship, peacemaking, and establishing and maintaining human rights and social justice.
