Gulf Islands Families Together Society

Gulf Islands Families Together Society, or GIFTS, is a registered charity based on Salt Spring Island, BC. GIFTS seeks to fully integrate individuals with diverse abilities into community life while building the community’s capacity to welcome and include persons with diverse abilities. Our goal is to facilitate inclusion in all areas of daily living including work, recreation, volunteerism, socialization and education. Over the past two years, GIFTS has organized a series of visual arts programs for adults with disabilities. The resulting 4 art exhibits and 2 community art-making events have been tremendous outreach opportunities to connect individuals with disabilities to the larger Salt Spring community with its strong arts orientation.
