The St. Andrews Arts Council was founded in 1986 in partnership with the New BrunswickCommunity College/St. Andrews. It is a volunteer driven organization dedicated to enriching New Brunswick communities and providing high quality educational programs and performance opportunities for local, national and international students of all ages from beginners to preprofessional emerging artists pursuing a career in the performing arts.

Main Activities:

1. MUSIC IN THE SCHOOLS PROGRAM: Free band, choir and general music program for 250elementary and middle school students in St. Andrew’s schools.

2. THE SUMMER SCHOOL FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS: nationally recognized educational programs and performance opportunities for local, national and international students of all ages from beginners to pre-professional emerging artists pursuing a career in the performing arts.

3. FESTIVAL OF THE PERFORMING ARTS: performance opportunities for students, faculty and guest artists and entertainment for local community members, tourists and families.

4. COMMUNITY OUTREACH: free/discounted tickets for children and families to attend Festival of the Performing Arts events;free performing arts programming in venues throughout the community; financial aid, internships, stipends and sponsorships for students.
