Nelson SPAN (Social Planning Action Network)

SPAN’s purpose is to promote community collaboration to identify, and respond to, Nelson’s social needs. With collaborative, action-oriented leadership in building a caring, inclusive, dignified and socially just community, SPAN helps build and support a safe and healthy city in which everyone has an equal voice in defining problems and offering solutions to improve quality of life.
‘Nelson at is Best’, a committee of SPAN devoted to understanding and reducing poverty in Nelson, organized and executed our Canada 150 project.
