Music Moves Kids Choir is a local choral group in Southwestern Ontario, started by two local sopranos, Erin Armstrong and Christine Turingia. The choir has performed onstage with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra for this season’s Holiday Pops concerts, with the County Classic Chorale, the Windsor Community Choir, The Tenors, both for their Leamington performance and PBS Broadcast at Caesars Windsor.

They have appeared on Cogeco TV and were invited to Toronto to make their operatic debut in the Canadian premiere of Jakobin by Dvorak in 2014. Since that time have performed as the chorus of cherubim in Boito’s Mefistofeles in Toronto and Windsor, a chorus of shepherds in Amahl and the Night Visitors with Abridged Opera and most recently as the children’s chorus in Act II of La Boheme by Puccini with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra.

This past summer Music Moves Kids performed Hans Krasa’s children’s opera, Brundibar, overseas at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and are beginning work on the creation of a new children’s opera, inspired by our local National Park, early in 2017 to pay tribute for Canada’s 150th birthday.
