Mile Zero Dance

Mile Zero Dance Society is a contemporary dance company creating original dynamic interdisciplinary works focusing on creation, education, and production.MZD operates a dance studio, Spazio Performativo, for rehearsals, performances, and classes. Presents workshops and labs presenting new techniques and choreography for emerging and professional artists. Offers a regular series of shows presenting artists’ new work. Main stage shows showcase contemporary interdisciplinary work by artistic director Gerry Morita. K-12 Artist in Residence School Program teaching creative movement for student performances. Visual outreach presenting local artists in studio. Educational outreach to community centres and marginalised communities. Monthly presentation series of improvisational artists and short works of interdisciplinary arts.
