DeafBlind Ontario Services is a not-for-profit organization that strives to help individuals who are deafblind to increase their independence and improve quality of life through residential and specialized services. Since our beginning in 1989, we have made it our mission to inspire the spirit and determination of the people we support.
Today, we support over 65 individuals in 16 residential homes and 5 apartment programs, along with community services programs across the province.
Deafblindness is a complex disability, a combination of both hearing and visual impairments unique to each individual. Individuals with deafblindness have the capacity to build their life skills, gain independence and contribute to their communities, with the supportive help of our specially trained Intervenors and housing that caters to their needs.
