The Guelph Y provides values-based programs and services that teach the importance of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and inclusiveness. It’s a place where friendships are formed and family ties are strengthened. The Y is a centre of the community, where people meet and discover common needs or interests. It is a place where everyone belongs. Every individual deserves the opportunity to reach her or his full potential. The Y offers financial assistance by subsidizing a portion of an individual or family’s membership so that fees are never a barrier to achieving health goals. Not only does the Y open its doors to all within the community, it also takes its services to the people. Through outreach, special events and programs outside of the Y, the organization strives to reach all members of the community.
