New Dawn Community Development Educational Foundation

The New Dawn Community Development Educational Foundation is a registered charity established to
create educational opportunities related to community economic and social development in Cape Breton.
Activity areas include:
(a) Providing citizens of Cape Breton with educational and informational materials on local initiatives in
community economic and social development;
(b) Providing citizens of Cape Breton with educational opportunities related to community economic and
social development through lectures, conferences, workshops, seminars, and other accepted forms of
public education
(c) Providing structured opportunities for youth and post-secondary education graduates to acquire skills
in community economic and social development in order that they may assume positions of leadership in
the community; and
(d) Encouraging the educational development of children in community economic and social
development by structuring opportunities for interaction between community economic and social
development workers and educators, children and parents involved in the public school system.
