United Way of Prince Edward Island

The mission of the United Way is to improve lives and build community by engaging individuals and mobilizing collective action.

The United Way of PEI supports local community organizations to prevent and address issues that increase vulnerability connected with mental and physical health of Islanders, in ways that empower and support Islanders and increase a sense of community. Through these investment and partnerships our goal is to create a province in which everyone can enjoy a dignified and healthy lifestyle.

The United Way contributes to our partnerships with local organizations working with under-served communities by: working collaboratively with donors to increase community resources and provide opportunities for engagement in supporting community need; providing funding for alternative, innovative services which fill social gaps not serviced by government; and creating and engaging in opportunities for collaborative and collective partnerships.
