Champney’s West Heritage Group

A registered Canadian charity with a mandate to preserve and promote the heritage of the community and the region through the development and operation of educational focused facilities. We operate the Heritage House (museum) and Champney’s West Aquarium, as well as, oversee the development of Fox Island Hiking Trail and its designated heritage sites. “Our Environment” project was awarded a Canada 150 Community grant. The grant supports an environmental stewardship initiative at the Aquarium to raise the awareness of youth on the impact of community litter and garbage on our coastline and marine life through a shoreline clean up and science based study of the material collected.
