Edmonton Community Foundation (ECF) connects donors with opportunities to build a stronger and more vibrant community, now and in the future. Gifts to ECF provide ongoing support to organizations and causes primarily in the greater Edmonton area. Donations to ECF are held in endowments – permanent funds that are carefully invested. Annually, a percentage (4% in 2016) is granted to the community in he following areas: arts, culture & heritage, recreation & leisure, education and learning, environment, health & wellness and social & community services.
