The Brockville Museum is a community museum in one of Ontario’s oldest communities. Settled by United Empire Loyalists in 1784, Brockville became the first incorporated village in Upper Canada in 1832.

Our community’s heritage is rich thanks to the people who have called it home. Through exhibits and programs, the Brockville Museum showcases the stories of our people alongside the manufacturing industries that helped our community grow and prosper.

Brockville’s history is truly one of prominent manufacturers, formidable wealth, fascinating historical figures and vivacious ordinary people all interconnected by the dynamic St. Lawrence River.

Many of our exhibits and programs are made possible thanks to the hard work of dedicated volunteers and the Friends of the Brockville Museum.
