ASF is a province wide non-profit society that “promotes the love of fiddle music to young and old alike”. They are celebrating 25 years as a society this year by hosting a 25hour non-stop fiddling marathon in Lacombe, Alberta.
The event will be held May 19-20th in conjunction with National Fiddling Day which is the 3rd Saturday of May. With over 250 members province wide the ASF hosts 2 music camps every, community dance grants, a quarterly newsletter, and has a fiddle publication of Alberta Original Fiddle Tunes.
