Cloyne and District Historical Society

Our organization’s mandate is to research, record and disseminate information about the history of our area. Board members are involved in researching various aspects of life in our area in the mid 1880; since 1974, the organization has been doing interviews with seniors as well as collecting written data from any number of sources. Our museum the Cloyne Pioneer Museum and Archives, is a major technique we use to inform the public about our history. We also publish a newsletter and hold public events to which all members of the community are invited. Rack cards in local businesses inform both the local people and visitors about our summer displays in the museum.
